We have been closely monitoring the coronavirus outbreak to ensure the safety of the participants and staff members attending AFDC. Your health is our top priority and we will continue to make decisions according to the recommendations of the CDC. At this point, we are continuing with optimism that AFDC will occur as scheduled. We will continue to update with any changes that may be influenced by the spread of COVID-19.

REGISTRATION COST FOR THIS YEAR IS $850 (minus CSA Discount). If your lab was installed within the last year, you will receive one (1) paid tuition to AFDC for the designated Primary Facilitator. If you have a paid Tier 1 or Plus CSA, you will receive a 50% discount off of tuition and only pay $425. If you have a Premium CSA, you will receive free tuition for the Primary Facilitator and a 50% discount off any other attendees from your school. Designed for new and veteran SmartLab™ Facilitators, the Advanced Facilitator Development Conference prepares STEM K-12 educators to support and facilitate student learning and skills development for career and college readiness. AFDC participants gain experience and knowledge of instructional strategies and the principles of project-based learning, develop expertise with a variety of advanced technologies, participate in authentic STEM practices, and learn to integrate cross-cutting concepts and content. Workshop Outcomes:
Increased expertise with project-based, student-driven learning. Development of performance-based assessment rubrics and methodologies.Ability to integrate STEM disciplines and practices along cross-cutting concepts. Demonstrated advancement in proficiency with STEM technologies.

*Session Proposals are due April 1, 2020. We will notify all participants of selection by May 6, 2020. Sessions consist of 80-minute blocks in a SmartLab, classroom, or Studio.
